Swingin’ With The Flying Horse Big Band
The Flying Horse Big Band presents SWINGIN’ WITH THE FLYING HORSE BIG BAND, a spirited collection rooted in jazz history but alive with the energy of a new generation.
Blending original compositions with rarely heard classics, the recording moves effortlessly from hard-swinging, Basie-inspired ensemble work and sophisticated arrangements by Harry Allen and Mark Taylor to bossa nova, blues, and a remarkable revival of Bill Finegan’s historic arrangement of “The Continental”—a chart so rarely recorded that this may be only its second published recording.
